Terms and Conditions for Gift Cards

Please read the terms and conditions below before placing your order, as they apply to the electronic gift card.

City2 and CDO Gift Cards

City2 and CDO gift cards are electronic gift cards that you can use instead of cash. You use the gift card as a type of payment card, meaning that it is possible to shop in several different stores with the same card. The gift card has the same use as cash, but also carries the same risk for you.

The gift card can only be used for payment in the stores affiliated with City2 and CDO.

The minimum amount for a gift card is 100 DKK and the maximum amount is 3,000 DKK.

Receipt

Once you have completed the payment, you will immediately receive a receipt via email. Make sure to enter your email address correctly so your confirmation is delivered properly.

You are bound by the payment when you click "Complete Payment" and the message "Payment Approved" appears on your screen.

You can print the Terms and Conditions at any time, which form the basis of the agreement you entered into when purchasing the gift card. The applicable Terms and Conditions can always be found at www.city2.dk or www.copenhagendesigneroutlet.dk.

If you made a mistake during your order, feel free to contact City2, and they will assist you.

Payment 

You can use the payment cards available in the payment module.

Your payment is handled by Easy by Nets (payment module).

Nets handles all payments and card data and complies with international security standards (the so-called Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, abbreviated PCI DSS). The exchange of information between us and the data processor is encrypted in SSL (Secure Socket Layer).

Delivery terms – applies only to ordered gift cards sent by post

The gift card is sent on the next business day after the order and is sent using the selected delivery type, regular mail or quick mail.

All gift cards are sent with Post Nord. Delays may occur with Post Nord, which City2 has no influence over.

If a gift card is not delivered but is lost during shipment, notify City2 at phone: 43 32 01 00, email: hej@city2.dk. In such cases, a new gift card will be sent.

Shipping costs apply to all orders, regardless of quantity, size, and different delivery times. The shipping cost depends on the total weight.

Prices and VAT

All shown prices are in Danish kroner and include VAT.

Validity Period 

The gift card/voucher is valid for 3 years from the date of issuance.

Holders of electronic money can, before the expiration of the electronic money and up to 1 year after expiration, request that the remaining value be redeemed at face value by contacting the issuer, cf. contact information.

Balance  

The balance on the gift card can be viewed at www.city2.dk or www.copenhagendesigneroutlet.dk.

Complaints  

According to Danish purchase law, you have a 2-year right to complain about your purchase. The complaint period starts from the day you complete the payment or physically receive the shipment.

Incorrect delivery or defective shipment: Should you unexpectedly receive an incorrect or defective gift card, please notify us as soon as possible by email with a description of the error/defect. 

Right of withdrawal

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal/return from the day you receive the gift card. If you regret your purchase, you must, at your own expense, contact/send the gift card back to the following address: City2, Cityringen 4, 2630 Taastrup, no later than the 14th day after receipt.

When you return the gift card, it must be in the same condition as when you received it. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, you will receive the full purchase amount within 30 days after we have received your request/return and had the opportunity to examine it. The money will be deposited into your account. Please provide your registration and account number in the email/return.

The applicable privacy policy can always be found on the website www.sparxpres.dk.

Use of the gift card

Your City2 - CDO gift card is the same as cash, and you use the gift card instead of cash in the affiliated stores in City2 and CDO.

The gift card is used with a PIN and can thus be used in the same way as a regular payment card. The gift card is therefore a non-personal bearer certificate.

The gift card cannot be blocked if, for example, you lose the gift card or it gets stolen.

You therefore accept to bear the risk of misuse of the gift card and thus the risk of the loss you may suffer if the card is used by someone else without your permission. The same applies, of course, to the recipient if you give away or sell the gift card.

You are also entitled to file a complaint directly with the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby. You can file a complaint via forbrug.dk or by email: cfk@kfst.dk.

The EU Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution can also be used to submit a complaint. This is particularly relevant if you are a consumer residing in another EU country. Submit your complaint here: ec.europa.eu/odr. When submitting a complaint, you must provide our email address: info@sparxpres.dk.

If you wish to complain about a product/service purchased with the gift card, you must contact the store where you bought the product.

Who is behind the card

Electronic gift cards via Danske Shoppingcentre P/S are managed by SPARXPRES, which is a branch of Spar Nord Bank A/S.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Any purchase of a gift card is subject to Danish law. Any dispute regarding the gift card involving the issuer must be brought before a city court in Denmark unless mandatory legislation states otherwise.
